The Outerlands of San Francisco is a long-running personal project by San Francisco commercial photographer Chrissylynn — a visual meditation on the city’s western edge.
Drawn to fog, shifting light, ocean energy, neighborhood rituals, and fleeting human moments, the project captures the soulful rhythm of life beyond the center of the city.
Often photographed through prisms, the images bend and fracture light to explore impermanence, converging realms, and the feeling of time passing in layers.
The Outerlands exists as both a creative outlet and an evolving love letter to a deeply cherished place.
